Sweet Home Alabama!

“I’m a bit disappointed. We got into a tangle in Turn 1, so ended up being in a race of my own. It’s another distance done and we were able to pick up the pieces to be efficient out there with the No. 28 DHL Dallara. We’ll live to fight another day.”

The Race

  • A Turn 1, three-wide incident on Lap 1 involving Jamie Chadwick forced the No. 28 into the pits to fix the right front toe link. Chadwick was able to go back out and make up laps, she finished 11th.
  • The 55-minute race only saw nine caution laps in total.
  • A red flag due to a tow truck getting stuck during cleanup procedure brought the field in with 10 minutes remaining.
  • The average speed of the INDY NXT Grand Prix of Alabama was 94.556 mph.
