Successful Weekend for Andretti Autosport

INDY NXT by Firestone Music City Grand Prix

Jamie Chadwick scores her third top 10 finish by placing eighth this weekend at the INDY NXT by Firestone at Music City Grand Prix on the streets of Nashville. Jamie Chadwick and Louis Foster made their debut for the Music City Grand Prix this weekend with no prior testing on the street circuit.

Saturday’s qualifying session for the 35-lap event was canceled due to wet track conditions, as a result the starting grid was set off championship points.

Today’s eighth-place finish is a career best result for Rookie Jamie Chadwick in her first start at the Nashville street circuit. Chadwick gained nine positions in the race, the most of any driver in the 19-car field.
“It’s been an interesting experience here in Nashville. Straight out of the box, I really enjoyed the circuit in practice. But we knew the weather was going to be a bit of a threat – which it obviously was yesterday in qualifying with that being canceled. It was a bit of a shame because we did have really good opportunity to perform well here. That said, starting 17th in the race, it was a fun race. We knew we had to get it done and get up the field to get a result. We fought all the way through it; picked off the chaos and picked off a few others. I’m happy to get my best result now. It was a good weekend.”
