“I think this was a good step from previous races. It was a tough physical race out there and I dropped back after the first lap, but was able to kind of recover to something respectful. So, I enjoyed it. It was tough and it’s nice to finish a race on the lead lap for once. Now I’m just looking forward to carrying that confidence and learning experience into Detroit. ”
Qualifying
Jamie Chadwick found herself in the top five for most of the practice session before qualifying with a time of 1:15.7845. Chadwick locked in her season-best qualifying place in 14th.
“After a good practice this morning, I’m disappointed. There was a good opportunity to be in the top 10 with my lap in qualifying. I’m frustrated; it’s our best qualifying of the year but I think there was a lot more on the table. We’ll fight tomorrow.”
