INDY NXT by Firestone at INDY GP
The INDY NXT by Firestone in Madison, IL marked Jamie Chadwick’s second career start on an oval. She was able to improve on her starting position of 13th to come away with a 12th-place finish.
“I’m a little bit disappointed, however, I felt like we couldn’t expect too much since we didn’t have much time for practice or qualifying today. We made a couple of passes in the race and I think we learned a lot which is the main thing. I felt like I was finding my feet in the race, and we learned a lot which I am happy about. It would have been nice to have had a full weekend here at World Wide Technology Raceway, but glad we had a chance to race under the lights. Looking forward to the next one.”
Jamie posted on her facebook page that she “enjoyed racing under the lights last night at World Wide Technology Raceway ,but very little practice and a cancelled qualifying session put us on the back foot P12 at the finish. Another Oval race in the book.”
